A well-drilled Dorking outfit put an end to Salisbury’s new year unbeaten streak, as the Whites suffered defeat in Surrey.
Dorking opened proceedings via a set-piece that soon became a running theme of the afternoon, launching the ball and causing chaos in the Whites' penalty box, with Casey volleying the ball home before ten minutes had been played.
After their opener, pressure from the hosts did not seem like stopping, but Salisbury managed to grow into the half through some tidy possession.
The biggest chance of the first half came from a Willard cut-back, which just evaded the arriving Hedges, and the subsequent cross at the other side by Morgan was also unable to find a teammate.
However, just before the break, the hosts doubled their lead after a corner was whipped in with precision, finding the head of Camp at the back-post.
Brian Dutton’s side came out of the blocks after the interval, as Dabre was able to get on the end of a chance straight away, but it came to nothing after it was blocked.
The visitors made some changes after struggling to find inspiration for a comeback, as debutant Jolliffe made way for Keeya, as well as Odokonyero for Coppin.
The Whites were also forced into a change after skipper Sommerton went down for a period of time and later limped off the pitch, swapping with Bray to try and turn the match on its head.
However, a goal for the visitors never came, and in the 85th minute, Dorking scored their third of the afternoon from outside the Salisbury box.
The Whites now face a quick turnaround in fixtures as they make the journey to East London to face high-flyers Hornchurch.
