Leeds United will be nervously looking over their shoulders after Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Arsenal. The Whites are still six points clear of the bottom three, but West Ham United's improved form and performances will be making them edgy.

And Leeds have just hours left to strengthen their squad before the January transfer window slams shut at 7pm. Daniel Farke's side have been linked with Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, who also attracted transfer speculation from several clubs during the summer window.

However, the Scandinavian is set to join Crystal Palace after talks over a move to Selhurst Park previously stalled. It would therefore be wise for Leeds to explore alternative forward options who could complement Dominic Calvert-Lewin, especially given Joel Piroe is also rumoured to be heading for the exit door.

With all that said, below is a round-up of the latest Leeds transfer news and rumours on deadline day...

Larsen alternative latest

Leeds are not anticipated to pursue an alternative to Strand Larsen, despite the club appearing set to miss out on the Wolves forward.

With the Whites refusing to submit a bid exceeding £40million, Wolves have accepted a £48m proposal from Crystal Palace, with the 25-year-old undergoing a medical with the Eagles.

His representative, Tore Pederson, holds a Leeds season ticke and it is believed that Strand Larsen's preferred destination was Elland Road. However, with Wolves encouraging a bidding war, the Premier League's bottom-placed side were always likely to accept the highest bid.

Duran 'interest'

Leeds have been linked with former Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran. The forward is currently on loan with Fenerbahce from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

Reports from TEAMtalk claim that intermediaries for the Colombian have 'offered' him to as many as five Premier League clubs ahead of Monday's deadline. Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds are namedropped in that article.

Duran has scored five goals in 21 appearances so far this season having previously scored 20 in 78 appearances for Villa.
