Report: Late Everton exit cannot be ruled out as improved bid could 'persuade' Friedkin sale

Everton have not ruled out the potential of players departing the club in these final hours of the window.

David Moyes has watched over four weeks pass him by without seeing a single player signed on Merseyside.

Despite this, Moyes admitted Everton could sanction some late departures at Finch Farm, with just hours remaining.

Given the number of injury setbacks suffered at Everton this season, allowing players to depart without replacements would be a considerable risk.

If you could sign one player, who would it be Everton fans? 🤩

Everton could sanction Tim Iroegbunam departure on deadline day

Over the course of January, Lazio showed an interest in Tim Iroegbunam on the back of a solid start to the season for the midfielder.

Everton have not shown an interest in allowing the 22-year-old to depart, but that may soon change.

According to The Telegraph, an improved offer from Lazio could persuade Everton into selling Iroegbunam.

It is believed that Lazio are willing to pay around £15m for Iroegbunam, with a fresh offer not ruled out.

A lot of Everton fans do not want to sell Iroegbunam, who has looked much improved over recent months under Moyes.

The Toffees have now seen Idrissa Gana Gueye return from the Africa Cup of Nations, but selling a midfielder at this stage in the window could be a huge risk.

Harrison Armstrong decision could green light Iroegbunam exit

A decision has finally been made on whether Harrison Armstrong will return to Preston North End on loan for the remainder of the season.

Everton will keep Armstrong on Merseyside for the rest of the term after he has impressed in recent weeks.

It will come as a huge blow for Paul Heckingbottom and the Lilywhites, but Everton have to look after their own interests.

The Blues have already seen a number of midfielders suffer through injury – Iroegbunam being one of them – which left Everton with little other choice but to retain Armstrong.
