The Red Devils fought hard into injury time on Sunday afternoon after Man Utd lost their 2-0 lead over Fulham after a late comeback from Marco Silva’s men.
However, Benjamin Sesko came to the Red Devils’ rescue and the 22-year-old netted a stunning winner deep into injury time in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes fired a dangerous low cross into the Fulham box and an unmarked Sesko pounced on the opportunity and ensured United secured all three points.

“And then when they scored that second goal, I was like, ‘Oh my goodness gracious,’” he said on Sky Sports’ The Gary Neville Podcast.
“And then if you just said you wanted one player to score a goal, if anybody, any United fan, any United coach would have said, I want one player to score a goal, it would be Sesko because he’s had a real difficult time since he’s come to the club.
“And Cunha and then Mbeumo just look like Manchester United players straight away. The way in which they take the ball, they attack defenders.
“Amad’s come back from the from AFCON looking really strong and Bruno’s in great form.
“So, you’ve got that front four that looks like it’s established, with [Patrick] Dorgu who I’ve not even mentioned.
“So, he looked like he was just playing a bit part role, but that will be so big for Sesko to score a winning goal at the Stretford End.”

Gary Neville’s verdict on Benjamin Sesko’s winner for Man Utd against Fulham at Old Trafford
Sesko’s injury-time heroics allowed United to climb back into the Premier League top four and Neville was impressed with the Slovenian forward’s superb finishing.
“But yeah, a very important day for Manchester United, very important day for Michael Carrick and a glorious sort of end to the game, which is typical of Manchester United historically where they sort of, you know, make it very hard for themselves,” Neville added.
“But then go and score the late winner and it was a good work down that he let the ball roll across his body.
“Bruno Fernandes [is] just again putting it simply into a box. Sesko just gets it, rolls it and just he’s got a really good strike on him. That’s one thing he does have.”
United will now return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon, with the Red Devils hosting Tottenham at Old Trafford.
