Leeds United transfer latest: Colombia star offered to Whites, Real Madrid forward 'monitored'

The latest transfer deadline day talk from Leeds United as the Whites aim to boost their squad ahead of the 7pm deadline.

The Norway international was top of the Whites’ list of attacking targets for the final week of the January transfer window and an initial offer believed be worth around £35m was immediately rejected by Wolves. Palace pushed for an agreement with the Molineux hierarchy as Jean-Phillipe Mateta closed in on a surprise move to Serie A giants AC Milan and both deals appear to be close to being finalised on the final day of the window.

TeamTalk have now claimed Villa star Jhon Duran has been offered to Leeds and two other Premier League clubs after enduring an underwhelming loan spell with Turkish giants Fenerbahce. The Colombia international joined the Super Lig club on loan from Al-Nassr during the summer but has scored just five goals in 21 games in all competitions and has struggled to impress.

A deal to join Ligue 1 side Lille appeared to be close ahead of transfer deadline day but that has now collapsed and that has led intermediaries to push the versatile forwards towards several Premier League clubs ahead of Monday’s 7pm deadline. Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest and Leeds were reportedly offered the chance to sign Duran last week and have now been ‘re-approached’ as the clock ticks down.

Sky Sports reporter Zinny Boswell has claimed the Whites could make a late move in the market. He posted on X: Striker signing unlikely for Leeds United after Crystal Palace's Jorgen Strand Larsen bid accepted. However, a late arrival at #LUFC is not being ruled out at this stage. Window shuts at 7pm on Monday.”

Leeds, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with an interest in Real Madrid’s exciting attacking talent Endrick.

The somewhat bizarre report from Spanish outlet Fichajes has claimed the Premier League trio are ‘monitoring’ the Brazil international during a loan spell with French club Lyon. Endrick has scored four goals and provided one assist in four games since joining the Ligue 1 club earlier this month after struggling to find regular game-time with Real during the first half of the season.

The report even goes on to state why each Premier League club have shown an interest, with Leeds said to view the potential signing as having ‘an ideal profile to grow in an ambitious project’. Sunderland reportedly see Endrick as a game-changing addition to their squad and Tottenham view the forward as a player who can make an immediate impact within their ranks.

Sheffield United’s attempts to continue moving on from a dismal opening three months to the season and push towards the top half of the Championship have been hampered by a number of injuries.

Chris Wilder has already admitted left-back Sam McCallum is likely to miss the rest of the season after picking up what appeared to be a serious injury in Saturday’s draw with Millwall and that has forced the Blades into a late rethink of their deadline day plans. Former Peterborough United man Harrison Burrows is now Wilder’s only senior option on the left-hand side of his defence and that could present an opportunity for a former Leeds player in urgent need of game-time.

The Sheffield Star have reported Wilder’s search for left-back options has led them to Leo Hjelde, who has not appeared for Sunderland since they secured their return to the Premier League with a Championship play-off final over the Blades. Injuries have decimated Hjelde’s attempts to make a maiden appearance in the top flight but he is now back to fitness and has made two appearances for Sunderland’s Under-21s over the last two months.
