The latest transfer news on deadline day as Wolves target a former Birmingham City striker.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly submitted a deadline day bid to sign Torino striker Che Adams.
Rob Edwards’ side have had to move quickly in the final days of the window as Jorgen Strand Larsen is nearing a big-money switch to Crystal Palace. Wolves have accepted a bid worth £43 million plus add-ons for Strand Larsen, who has now completed his Palace medical, so at least one new striker is a necessity.

Although Armstrong has been billed as the Strand Larsen replacement, Wolves appear to be in the market for a second centre-forward as a bid has reportedly been made for Adams, who has been a target in previous transfer windows.
Football Insider claims Wanderers have tabled a bid worth £8 million for Adams as they seek to add quality and depth in attack. The former Birmingham City and Southampton striker is said to be eager to return to England and Wolves are willing to facilitate that.
The report mentions that Birmingham attempted to reunite with Adams earlier in the transfer window but saw their approach rebuffed by Torino, before they swooped for Djurgardens hot prospect August Priske. It awaits to be seen whether the Italian club have changed their stance for a last-gasp move.
Adams, who joined Torino on a free transfer in July 2024, has scored 16 goals and provided five assists in 63 appearances for the Turin-based outfit. The 45-time Scotland international is currently preparing for his first World Cup and would be eager to build a head of steam in the Premier League. That is, of course, if this rumour is even true.
