Ex-Town loanee signs for Scottish top-flight side

The 21-year-old forward has made just five substitute appearances for Thomas Frank's side this season and moves to Scotland in search of consistent game time.

Scarlett spent the first half of 2024/25 at Oxford United, before returning to North London and was named on the bench as Spurs lifted the Europa League last campaign.

He now links up with David Gray's side, who are currently sitting fifth in the Scottish top-flight.

His arrival at Easter Road came shortly before Kieron Bowie's club record sale to Italian side Hellas Verona was confirmed.

The England U21 international spent the first half of the 2023/24 campaign at Portman Road, but he was also recalled by Spurs after making just 12 appearances, all from the bench.

Elsewhere, former Town youngster Tawanda Chirewa has signed for Barnsley on loan from Wolves for the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old has been frustrated by a lack of opportunities at Molineux and links up with Conor Hourihane's side in League One.

Chirewa, who has been only two substitute appearances this campaign, had loan spells at Derby County and Huddersfield Town last season.

The Zimbabwe international left the Blues to move to Wolves in September 2023, having turned down a new deal at Portman Road.

Town received a compensation fee for the attacker, who played four games during his spell in Suffolk.
