Man Utd made it three wins from three under new head coach Michael Carrick.
Manchester United left it late as they defeated Fulham 3-2 over the weekend to preserve Michael Carrickās flawless record as head coach. After stunning wins over Man City and Arsenal, United faced a different type of test against a team below them in the table that posed a different tactical challenge.
Casemiro headed the home side in front, before Matheus Cunha doubled the lead after the restart. Fulham looked to have salvaged an impressive point when Raul Jimenez and Kevin scored in the final minutes of the match, only for Benjamin Sesko to fire in a stunning winner in added time.
United's attacking line drew plenty of praise for fighting until the end, though Carrick was just as impressed by the resilience they showed in defence once again. Although they have found clean sheets hard to come by, United have defended well under Carrick and given themselves a strong base to build on.

Michael Carrick hails 'important' Manchester United partnership
Speaking after Manchester United defeated Fulham on Sunday afternoon, Michael Carrick hailed the defensive partnership of Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez as a key part of their recent revival.
Asked about the timing of Maguire's resurgence in a World Cup year, Carrick said: "Yeah, I haven't given the World Cup much thought yet to be honest. We have got some really good centre-backs at the club and obviously a couple of young ones on the bench that have got big, big futures at this club hopefully.
"We just felt at the time we came in, the experience was important. The other two (Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven) will have a lot of games and a lot of performances in their career here, because they have got bright futures. Harry has come in after not playing a lot of football and done ever so well. He is what he is. A big presence, been there, seen there, done it as well. I think that helps within the group when we have got so many young players who are learning. I think he has had a big influence with that, and just that composure to understand the moments and not be phased by it.
"He has been a big presence with him and Licha (Martinez). At the back, they have given us the foundation to build on."
