Fulham have until the deadline at 7pm on Monday evening to finalise any late transfer deals

Fulham’s proposed deal for PSV attacker Ricardo Pepi is ‘in the balance’ on the final day of the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports. His current club are trying to sign a replacement so the Whites are having to patiently wait. The two teams have already agreed a fee of £32million while personal teams have also been agreed.

Marco Silva’s side are sat in 8th place in the Premier League table after 24 fixtures. They are seven points off the top four after their 3-2 loss away at Manchester United over the weekend. Raul Jimenez and Kevin got their goals against the Red Devils at Old Trafford but they weren’t able to get a result in the end.

Fulham transfer deal regarding Ricardo Pepi

Fulham will be hoping that they can get a deal over the line for PSV star Pepi. He will be seen by the London outfit as someone to boost their attacking department. If his switch to England is completed, he would give the Whites more firepower at the top end of the pitch.

Pepi, 23, is a USA international with 34 caps under his belt. He made the move to Holland back in 2023 and he hasn’t looked back since. The Texas-born man has scored 37 goals in 90 games in all competitions, 11 of which have come this season.

He started his career in MLS at FC Dallas and broke into their first-team as a youngster. FC Augsburg then lured him over to Europe in 2022 and he went on to play 16 games for them but didn’t score. He was loaned out to FC Groningen in the Eredivisie before PSV came calling.

What now for Fulham target Ricardo Pepi?

Fulham will be keeping tabs on developments at PSV over the coming hours. Pepi won’t be allowed to depart Rotterdam unless someone comes in. Therefore, the Whites are playing a waiting game right now.

Silva has recently admitted how hard it is to do business in January: “The January transfer window is never easy. If the summer window is challenging, you can imagine how difficult January is. However, we remain aligned, and I truly believe the club is doing everything possible to implement the plan and structure we agreed on, which will serve us well in January."

Fulham are back in action this weekend as they aim to bounce back from their defeat to Manchester United. They take on Everton at Craven Cottage. Their upcoming opponents drew 1-1 against Brighton and Hove Albion last time out.
