Chelsea did not include George in the squad on Saturday to face West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.

It would not be greedy of Everton fans to demand a new right-back to be signed by the deadline, too.

Everton are keen to sign a new right-back, with Moyes admitting one has been on his agenda for the last 12 months.

The game against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend only highlighted the need for a new addition, with Jake O’Brien playing ahead of Nathan Patteson.

Everton hold an interest in Brooke Norton-Cuffy, but they are certainly up against it in terms of the clock.
