Player on verge of leaving Wolves – Agent returns to city to close Molineux exit

Beşiktaş weren’t able to complete the deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Emmanuel Agbadou earlier in the winter market.

His agent was seen in Istanbul last month. The representative made the trip to hold talks with the Turkish club. Beşiktaş then gave up on negotiations.

Earlier today, we covered claims from Turkey that the deal is back on track. Journalist Sercan Dikme reported official talks with Wolves for the centre-back, led by Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı. Dikme also insisted there won’t be any setbacks this time around.

Journalist Ertan Süzgün now took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the latest on their pursuit of Agbadou.

He claims the Ivory Coast international’s agent has now returned to Istanbul. This is likely to close his client’s exit from Molineux quickly.

According to Süzgün, the Black Eagles have reached an agreement with the Wolves man for a contract until 2030. Rob Edwards’ side have to now give the green light to complete this operation.

This is on cards as the journalist claims Wolves and the Istanbul club are discussing the final details.

TRT Spor are also reporting Beşiktaş have restarted the negotiations with Wolves, which had stalled last week.

The talks between the clubs have intensified and the president aims to close the deal quickly The Süper Lig side are close to reaching an agreement with Wolves for Agbadou’s transfer.

Both Süzgün and TRT Spor make no mention of the details of the negotiations between Wolves and Beşiktaş.

After working on this case for weeks, Beşiktaş are on the verge of finalising the deal for Agbadou. The Turkish media sound optimistic of a positive outcome in bringing the Wolves defender to Istanbul.
