"Got to" - Key Leeds United figure declares Whites must amid setback with declaration about…

A key Leeds United figure has addressed Saturday’s 4-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Whites captain Ethan Ampadu has declared a Leeds United must on the back of Saturday’s 4-0 defeat to Arsenal with a confident vow and team belief.

Ampadu’s men went into Saturday’s visit of the title-chasing Gunners having lost just one of their last ten league games but the Whites suffered their second heaviest defeat of the season as Mikel Arteta’s team netted four times without reply.

Ampadu, though, says his team must quickly put the defeat to bed given both the nature of the opposition and remembering the momentum built by Leeds over the last two months.

Speaking post match to Leeds United club media, Ampadu said that his team still have “full belief” and declared that there is “full confidence” in the group that his Whites can achieve this season’s objectives.

“Especially through the last couple months, we have been building some good momentum,” said Ampadu.

“Full of belief, as we should be”

“We have put in some good performances and [are] full of belief, as we should be. Even though today has gone the way it has, we still have full belief in each other.

“We have got to put this one to bed now, learn from the mistakes. I believe when you play against top teams, you have to say that they have got a lot of quality.

“But for us, it is about dusting that off and then we have got a good game on Friday now. We reflect, we learn from whatever result that has happened and we try to put it into good use for the next game.

“No matter what, there is going to be a lot of ups and downs throughout the rest of the season, not just for us, but other teams as well.

“We are full of fight. We have got full confidence that we can achieve what we want to achieve and what we set out to do.”
