Chelsea forward Tyrique George is 'en route' for his Everton medical having been given permission to travel by the London club ahead of an expected switch to Merseyside.
George has been the subject of interest from the Toffees and it was reported yesterday that Everton and Chelsea had been in talks over a loan deal with an option to buy.
Tyrique George on the Move

It's shaping up to be a relatively quiet deadline day in the Premier League, but this deal looks likely to happen. The Athletic's Patrick Boyland reported via X on Monday morning:
"Tyrique George en route this morning for Everton medical after being granted permission to travel by Chelsea. Still a chance of a late loan exit from #EFC, with club weighing up Adam Aznou's situation."
The news comes after GIVEMESPORT Senior Reporter Fabrizio Romano described the deal as 'very close' on Sunday. Boyland elaborated further in The Athletic's transfer blog, confirming that George is signing on loan with Everton having a buy option for the end of the season.
The Jack Grealish Situationjack grealish
George can play across the front line but left wing is his favoured position and Everton's interest comes amid an injury to another loan player, Jack Grealish. The England winger is expected to undergo surgery on a stress fracture and may not play again this season.
Also only part of Everton's squad until the summer, it makes sense that the Toffees are considering alternatives to sign on a permanent basis. George is a far less established player than the England international, but he does offer far more long-term value at just 19 years of age.
This is a 'try-before-you-buy' deal for Everton and in that sense a shrewd piece of business. Having already featured in the Premier League and Europe for Chelsea, and represented England regularly across the youth levels, George comes highly-rated.
