Leeds United are eyeing a late move for FC Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan on deadline day.
It has been an extremely quiet transfer window for Daniel Farke’s men so far, with Facundo Buonanotte and Leonard Ngenge the only two incomings.
However, the Whites are now in pursuit of Spertsyan, who has already managed 20 goal contributions from just 18 league games in Russia this season.
Leeds will have to move quickly to get the deal over the line with the deadline fast approaching, but Farke has a previous link with the Armenian star.

The German boss is well aware of the 25-year-old, as he was appointed Krasnodar manager back in January 2022.
However, he didn’t take charge of a single match for the club and left less than two months later as a result of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
That hasn’t quelled Farke’s interest in the creative midfielder though, as the Whites race to bring him in before the winter transfer window comes to a close.
It is far from a straightforward deal to complete for Leeds, but Spertsyan is reportedly keen to move to the Premier League.
