It’s the age-old question: where does Jason Momoa like to spend his time while in Manchester for the weekend? The answer is, quite simply, pretty much everywhere.
The Hollywood actor, known for roles in Game of Thrones and Aquaman, was primarily in town to celebrate the arrival of his premium spirits range, Meili Vodka, but also made sure to hang around for a bit to soak up the atmosphere of the city during his weekend visit.
Having already praised Manchester earlier for its ‘incredible energy’, the 46-year-old, who was born in Hawaii, was spotted making snazzy bar appearances in Spinningfields and watching Manchester United play before ending proceedings with a rowdy night of rock and roll.

The Fast X and A Minecraft Movie star was spotted throughout the weekend in an assortment of Manchester United merchandise - showing his love for the team on the same day as their 3-2 victory against Fulham at Old Trafford.
Perhaps timed accordingly, the star headed to the match to soak up the atmosphere and to watch Casemiro, Cunha and Sesko score the crucial goals leading to the win for the Reds. He was later also pictured alongside Dutch centre-back Matthijs de Ligt at the stadium.
Before his visit to the match, Jason had first stopped by acclaimed restaurant Fenix. Appearing at the Greek and Mediterranean restaurant, on Goods Yard Street, he spoke about how it felt ‘natural’ for his vodka range, Meili, to be partnering up with the Permanently unique chain of venues as their ‘vision aligns with what Meili stands for’. It was recently announced that the venue, within the St John's neighbourhood, will be expanding with a new site in London's Mayfair later this year.

On Sunday, he managed to head over to Chinese restaurant Tattu, also owned by the group, where a cocktail masterclass was held using his premium line of spirits. He was also spotted visiting The Blues Kitchen, on Quay Street where he was said to be in fine form having drinks with punters. First opened in 2021, the bar and kitchen has become known for its New Orleans-inspired aesthetic as well as its regular live music.
His evening concluded with an appearance at Hardman Square venue Louis. The glitzy Italian restaurant and live music venue hosted Jason and his band ÖOF TATATÁ for an ‘intimate, high-energy’ performance of rock and roll anthems. Joined by ‘best friends’ Mike Hayes and Kenny Dale, Jason played bass guitar as the three-piece performed renditions of the likes of Jimi Hendrix and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Sporting a Manchester United top on stage, the actor told the crowd at the venue: “I love Manchester”. Recognising the venue, he added: “I don’t think I’ve played anywhere like this before. You should all be grateful you have a place like this. It’s amazing!”
On stage, Jason also recalled how he met Permanently Unique's founders Adam and Drew Jones in Dubai and they bonded immediately. It's something Drew has also acknowledged, recently saying: "We immediately knew there was a strong fit. Permanently Unique is about creating standout venues and unforgettable experiences, and Meili Vodka matches that ethos perfectly. We’re proud to be launching the brand in Manchester and making it a permanent fixture across our venues.”
