Aston Villa's Samuel Iling-Junior is reportedly closing in on a loan move to Serie A side Pisa.
The winger spent the first half of the season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, but his spell at The Hawthorns is now expected to come to an end.
According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Iling-Junior will return to Italy to see out the remainder of the campaign with relegation-threatened Pisa.
The 22-year-old made 24 appearances for West Brom in all competitions during the first half of the season, starting 14 matches. However, he struggled to consistently find form.
Iling-Junior’s only goal for the Baggies came on his first start for the club, scoring against Leicester City back in August.
He joined Villa from Juventus in the summer of 2024 as part of a deal that saw Douglas Luiz move in the opposite direction. Enzo Barrenechea also made the switch to Villa from the Italian giants in the same transfer window.
After an unsuccessful loan spell at Bologna in the first half of last season, Iling-Junior moved to Middlesbrough, where he rediscovered his form under Michael Carrick.
Iling-Junior is said to be under contract with Villa until 2029.
