It seemed as if Tyrique George was going to be the only arrival at Everton on deadline day, but that may no longer be the case.

Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Genoa are targeting a late move to take Nathan Patterson from the Hill Dickinson Stadium, a player David Moyes has only handed three Premier League starts to this season.
However, a sale would leave Everton even shorter in the right-back department with Seamus Coleman the only other natural option, but The Friedkin Group could land a target in Brooke Norton-Cuffy during talks with Genoa.
If you could sign one player, who would it be Everton fans? 🤩

Genoa want Nathan Patterson, but only if Everton target Brooke Norton-Cuffy leaves
Romano has now claimed that Genoa are “exploring” a deal for Patterson, just in case their England U21 international leaves.
It was actually only a matter of days ago that the reliable Italian journalist stated that Everton had “restarted” talks with Genoa over a deal for Norton-Cuffy, who is said to have a £17m valuation.
So, it seems Everton have a golden chance to land the Genoa No.15 in a deal which would see Patterson move the other way.

However, it remains to be seen if the Scotland international would accept a move to Italy at such late notice, so be sure to keep an eye on the situation.
There was encouraging news for Everton earlier on deadline day as Inter Milan shelved plans to sign Norton-Cuffy, meaning the most dangerous competitor for his signature is now out of the picture for the Toffees.
Having said that, it may all hinge on what Patterson wants to do.
