Former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Vitor Pereira has endorsed Emmanuel Agbadou for Beşiktaş ahead of a possible deadline day move.
Mustafa Karataş provides comments from the manager today, after he parted ways with Wolves earlier this season. The journalist reached out to Pereira for his opinion on his former player.
“He’s very good with the ball, fast, strong, aggressive and confident. A great addition for the Turkish League!” he told him when asked about the Beşiktaş target.
Agbadou looks set to leave Molineux today after Beşiktaş made another effort for him. They’ve been working on a deal since December without ever getting it over the line.
A report today stated that there were now no obstacles to the deal. Agbadou’s agent has even returned to Istanbul to get the transfer over the line.
That’s one of several trips that he’s made to the Turkish city this month. He’s been racking up frequent flier miles trying to get the defender’s exit from Wolves over the line.
Now he’s working on it again on deadline day. Whether the urgency of the day will help push things along remains to be seen. The Turkish windows closes on February 6th so there’s panic in that regard.
In the meantime, it seems Pereira is giving Beşiktaş positive updates. He worked with the defender at Molineux and clearly has a better impression of him than Rob Edwards.
