Manchester United have reportedly pulled the plug on Tyrell Malacia's potential move to Turkish giants Besiktas, per Voetbal International's Joost Blaauwhof.
Malacia has found game time hard to come by at United this season despite being reintegrated into the squad. He was a member of Ruben Amorim's bomb squad last summer, but the Dutchman remained at Old Trafford after that transfer window closed.
The 26-year-old has appeared just three times across competitions this season and his only Premier League outing was a two-minute cameo appearance off the bench against Newcastle United. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.

Tyrell Malacia
Malacia has looked set to depart this month and a move to Besiktas looked to be on the cards. It's claimed that the Dutchman was travelling to Istanbul before United intervened and he was told to return to Old Trafford.
Blaauwhof gave an update on the situation on X: "Bizarre deadline day for Tyrell Malacia. The left-back was on his way to Istanbul when Jason Wilcox (technical director) suddenly called him back to Manchester United after all. Decision-maker changed his mind, to the frustration of the Dutchman, who wanted the transfer."
Malacia's frustrations come amid not playing a single minute under the new caretaker manager, Michael Carrick. He is behind Luke Shaw in the pecking order but could be handed more opportunities following Patrick Dorgu's injury.
Dorgu has been used at both left-back and on the wing but suffered a hamstring injury in United's 3-2 win over Arsenal. The Dane is set for around 10 weeks on the sidelines, which means Carrick will be without a potential option at left-back.
Malacia has endured an injury-plagued spell with the Red Devils since arriving from Feyenoord in the summer of 2022. He missed the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign and failed to reclaim a regular place in the first team after returning.
It was claimed earlier this month that Malacia was to hold talks with Carrick over his situation, and it was expected that this would lead to him potentially departing. His contract expires at the end of the season, meaning the club has been under pressure to cash in on him before the January transfer window closes.
