Manchester United had included Tyrell Malacia in the ‘bomb squad’ after Ruben Amorim left him out of his plans. He had opportunities to leave Old Trafford last summer but decided against making a move.
The Dutchman’s decision to stay at Manchester United didn’t pay off. He came off the bench late in the Red Devils’ league win over Newcastle United on Boxing Day and that’s been his only appearance so far this season.
Last week, the Dutch press reported the 26-year-old is attracting interest from Italy, MLS and Turkey. The same source explained Malacia could leave Manchester United late in the window.

As of Monday morning, Malacia had everything in place to complete a move to Turkey. He only had to carry out medical and was to travel to Turkey for this.
There’s no mention of the club in question and it won’t matter because the advance move has now collapsed.
VI report the left-back received a call from Manchester United director Jason Wilcox right before he could board the plane to Turkey. The official had ‘changed his mind’ and asked him to return to the club.
Despite not featuring under Michael Carrick, Wilcox and Manchester United have decided to retain him.
Malacia was excited to join the unnamed mid-table Turkish club, to feature regularly in the second half of the season. He’s now in ‘disbelief’ after Wilcox personally blocked his exit.
