Just in: Leeds agree to sign Man Utd attacking midfielder in permanent deal on deadline day

Leeds United have agreed a permanent deal to sign Manchester United midfielder Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher on deadline day, according to journalist Pete O'Rourke.

Ibrovic-Fletcher is yet to make an appearance for United's senior squad, mainly featuring for the U18 side of late. The 17-year-old has made seven appearances for the U18s this season, but he looks set to be heading through the exit door at Old Trafford.

Interestingly, Ibrovic-Fletcher was born in Leeds, but he represents Serbia at international level, playing for them at U16 to U19 levels. The youngster made his Man Utd U18 debut back in May 2025, also signing his scholarship with the Manchester club last year.

According to journalist O'Rourke, Leeds have agreed a deal to sign Man Utd youngster Ibrovic-Fletcher on a permanent deal.

Ibrovic-Fletcher clearly sees a better pathway to the first team at Leeds, and it was always going to be tricky for him to break through at Old Trafford considering their young midfield options. Kobbie Mainoo, who is one of the most highly-rated young midfielders in world football, has even struggled for minutes this season.

The Red Devils also have the Fletcher brothers and Sekou Kone as young options in the middle of the park, so it's no surprise that Ibrovic-Fletcher has looked to seek a different challenge in the January transfer window.

It will be interesting to discover how much Leeds have looked to pay for the 17-year-old midfielder, and their supporters might be a little disappointing if that's the only deal they complete on deadline day.
