Blackpool relegation rivals add ex-Stockport County man while others close in on Manchester…

Blackpool have until 7pm this evening to complete their transfer business.

Blackpool are among a number of clubs in League One currently looking to boost their squad to help them in their fight at the bottom end of League One.

Several teams could be dragged into a relegation battle, with only three points separating Northampton Town in 23rd and the Seasiders in 16th.

Ian Evatt’s side have added three new players to their ranks in the past month, with Kamarl Grant, Joel Randall and Michael Obafemi all making the move to Bloomfield Road, but the former has already been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury.

While they are yet to announce a Deadline Day yet, there’s still an expectation Blackpool will still be busy before the 7pm curfew.

Elsewhere in League One, other clubs at the bottom end are also making their own moves.

Wigan Athletic add experienced figure

In the past hour, Wigan Athletic have added experienced defender Jack Hunt to their defence.

The 35-year-old has played for a large handful of clubs throughout his senior career, with the most recent being Stockport County - whom he departed last month following the conclusion of a short-term deal.

He joins January signings Joe Taylor and Owen Moxon at the Brick Community Stadium, as Ryan Lowe’s side look to end the five-game winless run that has left them in 19th.

Rotherham United set to sign Manchester United teenager

Rotherham United sit one place below Wigan on goal difference.

In a bid to boost their survival hopes, the Millers could turn to Manchester United teenager Gabriele Biancheri.

According to Football Insider, the 19-year-old is set to head to the New York Stadium on loan, having impressed for the Red Devils at youth level.
