ROTHERHAM United are close to strengthening their frontline by adding a second Manchester United loanee to their League One ranks.
Welsh-born 19-year-old striker Gabriele Biancheri is due to complete a loan switch to AESSEAL New York Stadium before the 7pm close of today's transfer window.
Manager Matt Hamshaw has made a new attacker his priority target and the Millers' close relationship with the Premier League Red Devils has worked in their favour.
They already have Manchester United midfielder Dan Gore excelling for them during a season-long stay.
Biancheri is a highly-rated prospect at Old Trafford and the north-west giants have turned down a bid for a permanent move from Spanish side Real Betis.
The teenager has been a prolific scorer at youth level and is said to be fast and able to play centrally and on the wing.
He has represented Wales at every age group from under-16s to U-21s while his senior experience amounts to four outings in the EFL Trophy for Manchester United' U-21 side.
He came through the academy of Cardiff City before moving to Old Trafford in 2023.
If all goes according to plan, his arrival won't be the only incoming at New York today.
