Sunderland man ‘on the verge’ of completing exit – Waiting for paperwork to fly out

Sunderland winger Simon Adingra is ‘on the verge’ of joining Monaco on loan until the end of the season.

That’s according to L’Equipe. The French newspaper reports that Sunderland and Monaco have reached an agreement on a loan with an option to buy included.

They state that Monaco have secured the winger they have been looking for. The Principality club reached an agreement with Sunderland today for Adingra to join on deadline day.

The 24-year-old is currently waiting the necessary paperwork to allow him to travel from the United Kingdom. He only joined Sunderland in the summer in a €24.4m deal from Brighton and Hove Albion.

He’s only managed 15 appearances totalling 729 minutes this season, though. And is now seemingly on the verge of joining Monaco on loan until the end of the season.

A report earlier today put Monaco in the mix. That also stated that Saudi Arabian clubs might be keen, but it appears the Ligue 1 side have stepped ahead.

And Sunderland might have their replacement secured anyway. Two sources in Belgium reported this afternoon that Anderlecht’s Nilson Angulo is on his way to join the Black Cats in a deadline day deal.
