Barry spent the first half of the campaign with Sheffield Unite before being recalled by Villa.
The ex-Albion youngster who turned down a deal at the club to move to Barcelona, had started last season on fire with League One Stockport County before being recalled and sent to Hull City.
He suffered an injury early into his time at the MKM Stadium - ending his season.
He has also gone out on a series of other loans but his time at Edgeley Park with Stockport was by far the most fruitful.
And now having been back at Villa nursing a knee injury - he is now set to go back out on loan again and return to the League One club.
The club currently sit fourth in the table - and see Barry as a key signing to help bolster their promotion ambitions.
