Blackpool linked with move for ex-AFC Bournemouth man

Blackpool are looking to do further business before the 7pm deadline.

Blackpool have been linked with a move for Barnet’s Ryan Glover.

Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke has reported that the 25-year-old is undergoing a medical at Bloomfield Road, with the Seasiders acquiring his services ahead of a number of other clubs.

After coming through Bournemouth’s youth ranks, Glover headed out on a number of non-league loans as a youngster, before making a permanent switch to Aldershot in 2022.

On the back of 11 goals and eight assists in 120 appearances for the Shots, he joined Barnet ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, and tasted National League success in his first year at The Hive Stadium.

So far this season in League Two, he’s featured on 28 occasions, scoring four time.

Glover mainly plays as a right winger, which is a position that hasn’t featured predominantly in Ian Evatt’s Blackpool set-up since his appointment back in October.

With a couple of wide players departing the Fylde Coast last month, it’s more likely a potential move for the Barnet man would be with a view to play him as a wing-back.

It’s understood the Seasiders are working on additional transfers following the signing of Reuell Walters on loan from Luton Town earlier today.

The 21-year-old makes the move to Bloomfield Road having struggled for minutes with the Hatters throughout the campaign so far.

As a youngster, the defender spent time with a number of clubs, including Arsenal - who used him as an unused substitute in several first-team games.

After turning down a new deal with the Gunners, Walters made the move to Kenilworth Road in 2024, and featured 14 times in the Championship during his first season with the Bedfordshire outfit, but just four appearances have come his way in League One this time around.
