Everton may well already have one eye on the summer transfer window following a quiet past four weeks.
It is becoming increasingly more common for Premier League clubs to leave the majority of their business until the summer window.
David Moyes has certainly seen that since his return to Everton 12 months ago, with a late push to bring in their first signing.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Merson has admitted he thinks Wilson may already have his next club lined up.
“Yeah, I doubt he’ll sign [a new deal]. Sorry to Fulham fans, but it’s just gone too long,” he said.
“He’s on a free transfer at the end of the season. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s done a deal in January now, today, or if he’s done it already.
“So don’t know where he’s going in the summer, because he’s hot at the moment. Form of his life.”
Fulham had no interest in selling Wilson as they will be hoping to see the 28-year-old ink a new deal ahead of the summer.
Frustratingly for Fulham fans, Merson already thinks his future lies away from the Craven Cottage.
Harry Wilson will have a host of interested clubs
If Wilson does become a free agent in the summer, he is going to have a lot of clubs interested in securing his signature.
The Wales international has already scored eight times and provided four assists in the Premier League this season.
He really is in the form of his life and he’s a player that could massively improve Everton.
Dwight McNeil could make a late departure from Everton, with the likes of Crystal Palace interested in the 26-year-old.
Replacing McNeil with a player of Wilson’s ability would instantly improve Moyes’ options.
