Nottingham Forest are reportedly keeping tabs on Sheffield United midfielder Sydie Peck.
The winter transfer window is due to shut at 7pm but last-gasp deals are hardly rare and deal sheets can come into play.
Sheffield United have had a productive day on the incomings front, signing Leo Hjelde on loan from Sunderland and working on deals for Joe Rothwell and Kalvin Phillips.
However, the Blades could have their resolve tested when it comes to key figures already on the books.

Interest in Sydie Peck
According to The Star, Premier League outfit Forest are monitoring tough-tackling midfielder Peck.
The 21-year-old is developing at a swift rate and has previously been reported as a target for Premier League clubs.
Sheffield United are said to be determined to hold on to their coveted assets and Peck is thought to have trained as normal today (February 2).
Chris Wilder’s stance
Regarding interest in key players, Blades boss Chris Wilder said: “There has been [interest] but my conversations with Steve [Bettis, chief executive] and the board have been that I want to build. But also, knowing that anything can happen in the final few hours and we’ve got to be alive to that.
“I suppose the toughest decision would be to move players on, but we really want to keep. Sometimes, though, that gets taken out of our hands because of the fees involved and the valuations that we put on our players.

“That’s just the way it is and I've said it all along. Even the top clubs have got to recognise that and realise that as well. We don't want to lose, we want to build. And we're building nicely, as everybody has seen.”
Peck is not the only Sheffield United player to have been the subject of speculation of late. In recent weeks, there has been talk of interest in Femi Seriki, Gustavo Hamer and Andre Brooks.
However, as it stands the aforementioned quartet are all still Sheffield United players.
