Sky Sports: Everton make late decision after receiving Nathan Patterson offers

Everton have now made a decision on whether Nathan Patterson will remain or leave.

Clubs have had over four weeks to sort their business out, but Everton have naturally left it right until the very final hours of the window.

David Moyes is still hoping to see his squad bolstered by the 7pm GMT deadline.

Everton are hoping to sign Tyrique George before the deadline, but a departure for Patterson has not been ruled out.

Ahead of the deadline, Everton News columnist Alan Myers expects Dwight McNeil to leave Everton, with clubs keen.

With just over an hour to go, a decision has now been made on Patterson’s future on Merseyside.

Everton set to keep Nathan Patterson despite interest

Moyes has admitted Everton have wanted a new right-back for 12 months, with Patterson’s game time extremely limited.

With Jake O’Brien playing ahead of him in the right-back spot, the Scotland international’s future has been under the spotlight.

According to Sky Sports, Everton have now made the decision to keep Patterson around.

The Blues have rejected approaches from Genoa late into the day.

It is suggested that the defender remains happy at Finch Farm and is ready to compete for a spot in the starting XI.

Everton held an interest in Brooke Norton-Cuffy, which could have suggested a swap deal was on the table.

However, Everton’s defence now looks set for the remaining months of the campaign.
