Nottingham Forest are plotting a late hijack on Crystal Palace as they eye a move to sign NEC midfielder Kodai Sano, according to journalist Ryan Taylor.
Crystal Palace submitted a deadline-day offer to sign Sano, which was turned down, but the Eagles are believed to be weighing up another bid for the Japanese midfielder. Ajax and Wolfsburg have also made offers for the 22-year-old, with the race hotting up to secure his signature before the 7pm deadline.
It could be a busy end to the window for Palace and Forest, with both clubs in the market for a host of players before the market slams shut. Sean Dyche's side are working on multiple deals as it stands, while they could be plotting a late hijack in the final hours.

According to journalist Taylor, Forest are considering a late move to sign NEC midfielder Sano, if they fail to make progress on other targets in the final hours of the window. Taylor also confirms that Palace have already seen a bid rejected, alongside Ajax.
As mentioned, Forest are pushing for a host of signings, and they could be one of the most active clubs in the final hours of the window. David Ornstein has reported that they have agreed a deal to sign Luca Netz from Borussia Monchengladbach, while Sky Sports have claimed that they've lodged a third bid, worth up to £25m, to sign Celtic midfielder Arne Engels.
