Everton made an offer for former Liverpool player Harry Wilson on deadline day but saw it rejected by Fulham

Everton had an offer for Fulham midfielder Harry Wilson rejected last week, with reports emerging of the Toffees’ proposal on deadline day.

He is out of contract at Craven Cottage this summer and is enjoying a hugely-impressive season. He has eight goals and four assists in 23 Premier League games but Fulham do not want him to leave this month.

Wilson could have his pick of clubs come the summer as he has not yet penned fresh terms in West London. Talks over an extension are said to be on hold because of the level of transfer interest in the player.

Wilson started his career with Liverpool but only ever manager two senior appearances for the Reds. He spent most of his time on loan with the likes of Derby County, AFC Bournemouth and Cardiff City.

He moved to Fulham on loan in 2021, before making his deal permanent in 2022. He has since racked up 173 appearances for the West London outfit, with 34 goals and 43 assists.

Speaking back in mid-January, Fulham boss Marco Silva insisted there was no chance Wilson would leave the club before the end of the season.

He said: To clarify, because I said that we have to enjoy him for one month, two months, or maybe another one or two years if we can renew with him, but completely zero chance of him leaving (in January).

“Not because we have an offer – I know there is starting to be some noise about the possibility of him leaving in this window – no chance, zero chance.”
