Everton have just minutes to go until the transfer window closes – and Dwight McNeil’s future remains up in the air.
Dwight McNeil has been the subject of interest from Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest today.
In the last hour, it was claimed that Palace made a bid of £20 million for McNeil.
Potentially, this is one that could require a deal sheet, which would allow Dwight McNeil to complete a move by 9pm.
In the last moments, Sky pundit Jamie Carragher delivered his verdict on McNeil potentially moving right at the end of the window, amid interest from Palace.

Asked if Palace’s interest in McNeil had surprised him, Carragher said: “Yes. I think for their system he’s almost like a wide player, I wouldn’t class him as a wing-back, so where would he play in that system?
“He almost feels like a 4-4-2 man to me Dwight McNeil, on the left, maybe tucked in
“But it depends how much they offer, whether Everton would sanction that but he’s not a player who’s a regular for Everton.

“So if Everton can get anywhere near what they paid, which I think was about £20 million, or sort of £10-15 million, I think that’s a deal you do if you’re Everton.”
With Palace having reportedly offered £20 million, Everton’s response should be clear in Carragher’s mind.
A tricky situation for Everton
Carragher is clear that Everton should be cashing in on McNeil for between £10-20 million.
But it’s a tricky one for the Toffees because we know that Moyes wants depth ahead of the second half of the season.

He obviously hasn’t performed well for a long time, and The Friedkin Group getting £20 million for McNeil would be remarkable.
But there is always potential for more injuries, so it’d be no surprise if Everton were unwilling to sell.
