The official deadline is at 7pm GMT, but Everton may well be forced into submitting a deal sheet for some extra time.

If this is the case, the Blues will be awarded another two hours to get the deal over the line.

George could find himself wearing number 14 for Everton, with Jarrad Branthwaite currently wearing his number 32 shirt from Chelsea.

Fans will believe the speculation when the 19-year-old is finally pictured wearing the famous blue of Everton.

The wait may not go on for much longer after a new update has emerged from Finch Farm.

Tyrique George has completed his Everton medical

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has revealed that George had completed his Everton medical shortly before 6pm GMT.

The race to get the paper signed will now be on as the club will then have to finalise the media duties to announce the signing.

This is good news for Evertonians, though.

It now seems just a matter of time before Everton are sharing the news of their first signing of the winter window.
