Panathinaikos complete signing of former Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko

Panathinaikos has announced the signing of midfielder Moussa Sissoko from Championship side Watford. He has joined for an undisclosed fee.

The 36-year-old French midfielder started his career at Toulouse at the age of 14, making his debut in 2007 and totaling 220 appearances over six seasons.

He joined Newcastle in 2013 and scored as he helped the club avoid relegation in 2015. He was unable to avoid that fate the following season, though, and joined Tottenham afterwards.

He went on to play over 200 times for the London club before moving on to join Watford in 2021. He left after the club’s relegation that season.

He returned to France to play for Nantes for two seasons before returning to Watford in 2024. He made nearly 100 appearances across his two spells at the club.

He has joined the Greek club on an 18-month contract.
