The winter window has officially closed for Manchester United, with no new arrivals signed under either Ruben Amorim or his eventual replacement Michael Carrick. United were open to doing business if a long-term target became available for an appropriate fee, but they did not want any short-term options ahead of a planned refresh in the summer.
United will look to overhaul their midfield at the end of the season, with two signings targeted in that position. Elliot Anderson is viewed as the dream target in central midfield, while there is also interest in Carlos Baleba and Adam Wharton as a possible partner for Kobbie Mainoo. The club will also look to sign a left winger and strengthen at full-back, while they might move for a back-up goalkeeper if necessary.
It meant the January window was mostly focused on finding loan agreements for several youngsters, with a handful of them sanctioned on deadline day. Here is every deal United completed in the winter window.
