Gabriele Biancheri makes Man Utd loan exit on deadline day, will join another Carrington loanee

Gabriele Biancheri is the latest Manchester United player to depart the club on loan for the remainder of this season.

Adam Lawrence may be the new Manchester United U21s head coach, but the squad available to him is being raided before his very eyes.

Jacob Devaney is reportedly set to join St Mirren until the end of the season, while James Scanlon is also expected to be loan-bound to Swindon.

Ethan Wheatley has officially joined Bradford City at the top end of League One, and now he is joined in that league by U21 talent Gabriele Biancheri.

Gabriele Biancheri set for Rotherham loan switch

After scoring for fun in the academy, now Biancheri has the chance to prove himself at a professional level.

It is a very interesting loan for Biancheri, which sees him link up with fellow United loanee Dan Gore in League One.

The move should give Biancheri vital experience in senior football, hopefully some goals and also the chance to impress United.

His debut for the Millers could come on Saturday when Rotherham face Biancheri’s former club and table toppers, Cardiff City.

Biancheri can send a statement to Manchester United during loan

If there was any United academy player crying out for a new challenge, it was Biancheri, as he has effectively been too good for academy football over the past 18 months.

Biancheri has had to share minutes with Chido Obi though, which hasn’t been helping either play and their development.

Given that Biancheri is older and arguably more polished in his all-around game, United has made the correct call to loan him out.

Earlier this season, it was claimed that scouts saw Biancheri as more of a winger than a striker due to his size, so it is intriguing where he will play.

Now, it will be all about what Biancheri can achieve on this loan to prove to United that he is worth keeping in the first team from the summer onwards.

An absolute goal machine, Biancheri could take League One by storm and really put himself in the thinking of Michael Carrick or whoever the next head coach is.
