Manchester United have been quiet in the January transfer window but Ineos have proven they are always looking for bargain deals.
The January transfer window is coming to a close and Manchester United will enter the second half of the season with no new arrivals into Michael Carrick’s squad.
While United are looking for new midfielders, it seems Ineos are happy to wait patiently for the summer when top targets will be available.

United have had success with January signings, none more impactful than current club captain Bruno Fernandes. But under Ineos it seems the winter market has become a window for bargain hunting.

Ineos will look to replicate Ayden Heaven deal
Unless United are extremely short of options or have a squad stretched through injury, Ineos’ actions suggest they will be most of their business in the summer.
Last January, there were two additions made into Ruben Amorim’s squad. A £25m deal for Patrick Dorgu was struck to add a much-needed wing-back specialist to the squad, and it has aged brilliantly with the Danish star now a regular starter.
The other deal was a £1 million deal for Arsenal’s Ayden Heaven – a name not recognised by most United fans at the time. One year later, though, he is one of the most exciting prospects in the squad.

Heaven has been a huge transfer success for Ineos, with the 19-year-old stepping into the first-team and proving he is ready to play regular Premier League football.
Poaching Heaven from Arsenal was never intended to be a key first-team signing, but it was a bargain opportunity that Ineos simply could not refuse. Moving forward, fans can expect that to be the basis of January windows.

Man United’s wonderkid strategy is paying off
Ineos have completely changed the recruitment strategy at Old Trafford. There has been much more focus on bringing younger players with high potential into the squad and the academy setup.
Chido Obi, Sekou Kone and Enzo Kana-Biyik are just a few examples, while Cristian Orozco joins in the summer when he turns 18 years old.

Heaven has proven that if you’re good enough, you’re old enough to make the first team at Old Trafford, and that has created a blueprint for other youngsters to follow.
While supporters may be frustrated at the lack of first-team signings made in January, patience is needed to see the full long-term impact of United’s transfer strategy.
