Sky Sports claim Nottingham Forest submit deal sheet to sign player eyed by Tottenham

Nottingham Forest have submitted a deal sheet ahead of the transfer deadline.

The Reds have worked tirelessly to add new players to the squad, but a lot of offers have ended in disappointment.

Arne Engels was wanted from Celtic, but he’s set to stay with Martin O’Neill’s team for the remainder of the season.

Other deals also fell by the wayside on Deadline Day, but it’s anticipated that one deal will go through at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest submit deal sheet for Luca Netz

It does look as though the Reds will get their new left-back over the line, with Netz undergoing a medical in Germany earlier today.

The Borussia Monchengladbach performer is joining Forest for just £2 million if the deal goes through, with the player in the final six months of his contract.

Netz has made over 120 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, and yet he’s only 22-years-old which is exciting in itself.

With Neco Williams missing this weekend against Leeds United, it’s going to be important for Netz to hit the ground running and grasp an instant opportunity with both hands.

Forest fans will wait with bated breath

Deal sheet territory is always nerve-racking, and hopefully, there will be some positive news to come later tonight.

Forest have needed a left-back all season, and the hope will be that Netz is in the squad for the huge game with Leeds at the weekend.

Netz looks like a player with an awful lot of potential, and the hope will be that Forest can get the deal over the line quickly and announce it this evening.
