Man Utd allowed several youngsters to leave the club on deadline day of the winter window.

The 19-year-old has scored eight goals in 21 appearances for United at youth level this season and is excited to play regularly at a professional level for the rest of the season. Biancheri is already a Wales U21 international and is also eligible to play for both Canada and Italy, with a decision yet to be made on which nation he might represent at senior level.

Biancheri is expected to gain plenty of playing time for his new club after they missed out on a loan for Swansea youngster Bobby Wales, while current forwards Jordan Hugill and Josh Kayode are both currently injured. It leaves the Yorkshire club with just two fit options in attack. The Millers sit 20th in the table but caused a shock when they thrashed Exeter 4-0 over the weekend.

Rotherham complete Biancheri loan deal

Rotherham United have expressed their delight to sign Manchester United youngster Gabriele Biancheri on loan for the rest of the season.

In a club statement released on Monday night, the Yorkshire club said: "Rotherham United are delighted to confirm the loan signing of Manchester United forward Gabriele Biancheri, who joins the club in a temporary deal until the end of the season, subject to Premier League, EFL and FA ratification.

"The Cardiff-born forward began his career with his hometown club and current League One table-toppers Cardiff City before he shot up through the ranks in the Welsh capital. His early promise was so great that he was picked up by Premier League giants Manchester United in February 2023, aged just 16.

"Gabriele links up with his new Millers teammates, including fellow United loanee Dan Gore, for a solid week of training before our clash with his former club Cardiff City on Saturday 7th February. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Gabriele in the latest chapter of what is sure to be a storied career and we look forward to seeing him in action for the Millers."
