Everton have completed the signing of Tyrique George from Chelsea on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The Toffees have brought in the 19-year-old on a temporary contract but there is an option to buy once that expires, football.london understands. George, who played just 11 times for Chelsea in all competitions this season, has been actively considering his options over the past month as he looks to play regular first-team football.
Everton emerged as a serious option in the last week following the news that Jack Grealish is set to miss the remainder of the campaign with a foot injury. George has been at Chelsea since Under-8 level and made his senior debut for the Blues back in August 2024, two months after signing a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge.
George - who will wear the number 19 shirt - told evertontv after completing his move: "I’m really excited to be here and to enjoy this massive club. I just can’t wait to get started.

"The fans here are exceptional. I know Evertonians are really passionate. They like hard work – and that’s what I’m going to show. I want to be exciting and I want to impress them.
"The gaffer, David Moyes, was another reason [I wanted to join]. He’s an amazing manager who has coached so many players, like Wayne Rooney, and players like that. I've had a brief conversation with him and he's an amazing person as well. I just want to enjoy it, learn under him and improve."
He added: "I feel ready, ready to make an impact. It feels like an exciting time for the Club. I’m going to attack this new challenge. I want to hit the ground running as quickly as possible and hopefully I can do that. I've seen some pictures of [Hill Dickinson Stadium]. It's massive and looks amazing, so I'm really looking forward to playing there."
David Moyes added: We are pleased to have signed Tyrique on loan from Chelsea for the remainder of the season.
“Tyrique is a versatile forward who can play all across the front line. I hope he will settle quickly into our squad, and the support from our fans will definitely help him feel at home. We are looking forward to working with him.”
Elsewhere, Chelsea have missed out on signing Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes. The French defender is now set to join Liverpool, who are expected to pay a £60million package for the 20-year-old centre-back.
football.london understands Chelsea are now set to re-evaluate the central defender market in the summer transfer window after losing out on Jacquet. The Blues were willing to match Liverpool's £60million total package, but Jacquet believes he has more of a route into the first team at Anfield.
