SUNDERLAND (5-4-1):
6 Roefs: Won’t have too many easier Premier League matches – Burnley did not manage a single effort on target
7 Hume: Played as both a right wing-back and midfielder depending on whether or not Sunderland had possession – looked comfortable in both roles
8 Mukiele: Another barnstorming display from the Frenchman – solid in defence and exuberant in attack
7 Ballard: Dominated the physical battle with Foster and was never seriously extended as Burnley were outmuscled
7 Alderete: Won everything that came near him and was always looking to be progressive with the ball
8 Reinildo: Another fine display from the full-back, who looked to get forward whenever the opportunity arose
7 Sadiki: Helped Sunderland gain complete control of midfield – and effective performance both on and off the ball
8 Diarra: Made a massive impact on his return to the starting side claiming a goal and an assist
7 Le Fee: Was involved in most of Sunderland’s best moves, spreading play around the pitch
8 Talbi: Capped off a fine attacking display with a brilliant goal as he fired home via the underside of the bar
9 BROBBEY: The archetypal number nine display – strong, aggressive and technically excellent with the ball at his feet
