Leicester City were awaiting confirmation on three signings on deadline-day night with hopes that they can be announced on Tuesday morning.

City completed one deal for Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo but were hoping to wrap up three more in a deadline-day blitz.

The club have been working on deals for Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelles, Manchester City attacking Divine Mukasa, and Chelsea striker Dujuan Richards, but, at 10pm on Monday night, were still waiting for confirmation from the EFL.

City hope to get the green light on those signings so that they can make announcements on Tuesday morning.

No players arrived at the King Power Stadium over the first 32 days of the window, but City were one of the busiest clubs on deadline day as they sought to strengthen a squad that is suffering from injuries and is in need of fresh faces.

Aribo will likely fill in for Jordan James while he is injured, providing competition for Louis Page, while Mukasa helps City cope with the absence of Aaron Ramsey, the teenager to rival Bobby De Cordova-Reid in the number 10 slot.

At the back, Lascelles helps City cope with the departure of Wout Faes and the injury to Jannik Vestergaard.

While striker Richards, who is yet to play a senior game of club football, replaces Julian Carranza and will compete with Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka for the spot up front.
