The dust is settling on a rather lacklustre January transfer window, in which, Manchester United - like many other Premier League clubs - failed to do much in terms of business. It's been an eventful month at Old Trafford for differing reasons, however.

Ruben Amorim was given his walking papers at the turn of January, with Michael Carrick stepping in as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. And while many fans were interested to see if the 44-year-old would dip into the winter window for reinforcements, Carrick instead committed his full attention to providing results on the pitch and turning the tide for the Red Devils.

Carrick oversaw an emphatic 2-0 win over Manchester City in his first match in charge, before putting Arsenal to the sword 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium the following week. A hard-fought 3-2 win over Fulham then ensued on Sunday afternoon, as Carrick went three-for-three in terms of matches won.

While no first-team deals were completed on Monday evening, a number of moves for youth prospects took place - while reports of unrest from one first-team player emerged as a result of Jason Wilcox reportedly blocking a move away from Manchester United.

Tyrell Malacia was left fuming with Manchester United on Monday afternoon, as Wilcox reportedly blocked a deadline day move to Turkey as the full-back was set to board a flight. The 26-year-old has been overlooked with the Red Devils this season, with just one Premier League appearance to his name for 2025/26.

Dorgu picked up an issue during United's 3-2 win over Arsenal last month, with reports suggesting he could be out of action for up to 10 weeks.
