Unai Emery reflected on a 1-0 defeat for Aston Villa against **Brentford**in the Premier League.
A red card for Kevin Schade saw the Bees go down to ten men at Villa Park, but Dango Ouattara was again the thorn in the side of Emery’s men as he scored on the verge of half time. The visitors held onto their advantage, repeating the result they earned at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Villans sit in third place in the table, a point behind **Man City**and closer to the chasing pack of Liverpool, **Chelsea**and Man United. The head coach’s fears for the place in the top five are already becoming a reality, but he hopes to find a solution with his squad to this challenge.
“We must accept it. They defend fantastic. We played a different match like we played the last matches, of course, because we were one player more. When we were 11 against 11, it was a difficult match, but more or less, we were competing, they were competing.
*“We had the first good chances of Tammy Abraham. We didn’t score, but we were more or less being in our structure, trying to get confidence and to feel comfortable playing. When they were one player less, of course, they scored so quick, and after it, the second half, the match was completely different, and we tried everything.*
“Firstly, stopping them, and secondly, trying to get (in) their box, to try to get offensively, right side, left side, crosses, shots, corners, but we didn't score a goal, and we must accept it because they defend fantastic as well.
*“It’s the Premier League, and now, we are going to try to finish tomorrow the transfer window, and overall, how we are on the day 24, with 46 points. Of course, still a lot of matches to play, and we have to continue being with the motivation we have in different competitions, like Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.”*
