On Sunday, Gianluca di Marzio spoke of Nottingham Forest’s interest in Fiorentina defender Robin Gosens.
Sean Dyche’s side were attempting a late move for the German, who has previously had stints at Atalanta, Inter Milan and Union Berlin. But Gosens rejected the move as he was keen on staying in Florence.
A move could’ve only gone through if the German had actively asked for a transfer. Nottingham Forest’s lure didn’t prove enough.
It seems like the East Midlands club failed in a move for another left-back, before they signed Luca Netz.

Fiorentina saw Cagliari’s Gabriele Zappa as a possible replacement for Niccolo Fortini. The youngster ended up staying in Florence, as Roma never really made a serious attempt to sign him.
This was largely because Nottingham Forest failed in a late move for Kostas Tsimikas.
The outlet note that Lina Souloukou had attempted to sign the Greek again, with a previous move having ended up in disappointment. The Liverpool loanee wasn’t interested in leaving Roma especially on deadline day.
It is also reiterated that Gosens did reject Nottingham Forest. This resulted in none of the mentioned players being transferred.
Zappa stayed at Cagliari because Roma didn’t make a satisfying move for Fortini. The Giallorossi never felt the need to sign the teenager as Tsimikas wanted to stay in the Italian capital.
