In January, TuttoSport reported Leeds United’s offer for Como’s Martin Baturina.
The newspaper said the Whites put forward €30m, plus bonuses in a permanent deal. Como were quick to issue a response to this, rejecting the bid.
This came after Cesc Fabregas had talked down Leeds United’s interest in Baturina, who has only grown in stature in the last few weeks.

They put forward a loan with an option to buy, but Como rejected this approach too.

The Croatia international’s value is now only likely to increase. He has started the last four league games, which shows how much Fabregas is trusting him. There is now every chance Baturina’s prominence grows beyond what Leeds United can afford.
