It’s a situation Burnley now find themselves in, having endured the same run between 2022 and to this day.Analysing Burnley’s struggles this season, Carragher told presenter Dave Jones: "There’s been very few victories [just three]."We know earlier in the season it’s really important to get off the mark and that’s what they did against Sunderland, but I’m sure there will be Burnley supporters looking at Sunderland and Leeds and thinking: ‘why not us? Now, notoriously, teams in the north east enjoy a great support, there’s a real passion and that’s what they [Sunderland] have managed to do. Anybody going up there knows they’re in for a real tough game.”Later in the show, Carragher further analysed Burnley’s woes during a fan debate, suggesting the ire should maybe be directed above Parker’s head."It’s interesting the fact you’re talking about Scott Parker,” he said."We’ve spoken a lot tonight about the situation at Burnley in terms of the club as a whole. Forget the manager, I likened you a little bit to a bit like Norwich 10 or 15 years ago where every season you come up, everyone knew you were going to go down."Norwich had different managers, Burnley have had different managers during that time, so do you not look higher up than Scott Parker?”Continue Reading
