Uncertainty has been creeping in around Leeds United this past week especially with what has happened in the last few days. This weekend was a difficult one for the Whites in the Premier League.
After an encouraging start to the New Year, Leeds faced their toughest task in January. Daniel Farke’s men faced Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side at Elland Road. With the home form of the Whites, many thought the result was going to be much different from what happened at the start of the season.

The Gunners put four goals past Leeds United, with Farke’s side not even able to muster a consolation effort. The defeat has now raised a few questions about the team for the rest of the season.
Gary Lineker raves about what he has seen at West Ham
Leeds should have won their match against Everton last week, but failed to convert their chances. This saw West Ham take advantage, as they won their match to close the gap between themselves and the Whites. Gary Lineker has been speaking on the Hammers and the battle for survival, and he thinks that the London side still have a chance to stay up in the Premier League.
“I think they’ve shown enough in recent weeks to give you some sort of encouragement as a Hammer.
“I mean, it would have been a big blow losing that because they were so good in the first half.”
This coming gameweek will prove pivotal for both teams, as they each face other clubs in and around them at the bottom of the table.

Leeds United are not out of trouble yet
Gary Lineker was right, West Ham look a different team in the last few weeks. It was unfortunate they blew a lead to Chelsea, but there are signs that there is still fight left in the club. Their January signings have also been great, and will improve the team for the second half of the season.
Leeds on the other hand, will be asking how they let a massive opportunity go by them this month. They could have added quality, but failed to do so. And picking up the players after such a heavy loss will be difficult for Daniel Farke. The upcoming game against Nottingham Forest will be a crucial one.
