Cristiano Ronaldo's time in the Saudi Pro League appear to be numbered and if the bookies is anything to go by, then his next destination has already been revealed. The Manchester United legend is thought to be leaving Al-Nassr and even reports of the Portuguese international to be on strike.

It is believed to stem from the transfer surrounding former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema who made the from to Al-Hilal from Al-Ittihad with Ronaldo taking his frustrations out on the Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), according to reports. The 40-year-old is apparently not happy with how PIF - who have stakes with both Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal - can do such dealings and did not feature in his club's win at Al-Riyadh yesterday.

Ronaldo, who is chasing 1000 career goals, will have a wide range of suitors no doubt to sign him up and the odds from bookies Ladbrokes are suggesting a trip to the MLS is on the cards. A chance to renew the rivalry with Lionel Messi would be one many fans would love to see - or perhaps David Beckham could unite the two at Inter Miami - and at 6/4 there is a strong chance this could happen.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “It seems the end of the road is nearing for Ronaldo’s Saudi adventure. The betting suggests a switch to the MLS is on the cards, but we are seeing interesting money on the Portuguese icon hanging up his boots.”

Other possibilities include leaving Al-Nassr to another league rival at 7/4 but the odds suggest a slender chance of Ronaldo hanging up his boots at 3/1 but with just over 50 goals left to achieve 1000 career goals, it seem a stretch to suggest CR7 will say goodbye to the game just yet.
