Northern Ireland and Sunderland fullback Caragh Hamilton
Northern Ireland international Caragh Hamilton has joined Sunderland on loan until the end of the season from fellow WSL2 side Nottingham Forest.
The versatile 29-year-old will hope to get regular game time at the Black Cats, after featuring 13 times for Forest this term. Sunderland are currently eighth in the second tier of women’s football in England.

Sunderland boss Mel Reay said: “Caragh joins us with a wealth of Championship and international experience. She will add strength and depth to our back line. We are pleased she will be finishing the season with us on Wearside.”
Hamilton spent over a decade at Glentoran between 2012 and 2023, split by a brief stint at Icelandic club Fylkir in 2017. She joined English side Lewis in 2023, before moving to Forest In 2024.
Hamilton has earned 51 caps for Northern Ireland after making her international debut aged just 15 in 2012.
